Lancaster Grand Theatre: St Leonardgate, Lancaster, LA1 1NL
A fantastic venue for paranormal investigators, the Lancaster Grand Theatre is said to be the oldest Theatre in North West England having been in use since 1782, although it has not always been known under the same name. It opened simply as The Theatre – and was renamed following a fire.
The interior was destroyed by fire in 1908 but less than a year later The Grand reopened under the name it is known by today and has been recently and lovingly restored back to the glory of the early 20th Century.
With a building of this age the reports of hauntings and paranormal activity are abundant. Staff have reported seeing a chair move of its own accord and light anomalies are regularly
reported here. Late night temperature drops along with orbs are often experienced during investigations at this location.
