Ghostly Shadows Terms & Conditions

1. No person under the age of 18 years old is permitted to attend events with us.  We may ask you for proof of age which you must be able to provide us with.

2. No alcohol or drugs are permitted on any event with Ghostly Shadows. If anyone appears to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs and/or is suspected of bringing either alcohol or drugs to the event they will be asked to leave immediately irrespective of traveling arrangements and will not be refunded for the event.  Ghostly Shadows staff will use their discretion and have the authority to evict anyone they consider to be behaving in an inappropriate manner due to alcohol and/or drugs.

3. In agreeing to join an event with Ghostly Shadows you are also agreeing that you will act in a responsible manner and respect the needs of others. You won't put yourself or anyone else in danger or cause harm to yourself or to others attending the event.  You will respect the nature of the event and behave accordingly. Due to the finishing time of the event you are asked to leave the location quietly and quickly.

4. There are laws on smoking and we do not allow anyone to smoke or to bring any naked flames to the events. This includes candles and matches.  Anyone found to be using these will be asked to leave the event.  Smokers will be made aware of their arrangements at the beginning of the evening.

5. The safety of our guests is our greatest concern and whilst we try to make all of our events accessible to all; some of our locations are not suitable for people with disabilities or mobility issues.  If you have a disability or mobility issues please contact us for details about the location you are interested in attending before purchasing tickets.

6. It is important to note that you attend any event at your own risk. Ghostly Shadows accepts no liability for any accident/incident/injury to a client.  However, due to the nature of the events and locations accidents can still happen. We recommend that all our clients to have their own third party public liability insurance. Although Ghostly Shadows has its own public liability insurance some of our policies may not be covered due to the fact that some of the location boundaries are beyond the normal public access categories.

7. All items you bring with you to an event are your property and are therefore your responsibility.  Ghostly Shadows will not be liable for damage to or loss of property and/or personal equipment on the journey to, from or during the event.  This includes damage that may be caused by spiritual or poltergeist activity during the event.  Ghostly Shadows accepts no responsibility for clothing, equipment, parking fines, the clamping of; or damage to vehicles.

8. It is your responsibility to wear appropriate clothing and footwear on the events.  Some locations become very cold during the night and we advise you to dress accordingly.

9. During an event you may be given instructions by a member of the Ghostly Shadows team or by the location staff; if you choose not to follow these Ghostly Shadows cannot be held responsible for any damage caused by non-comliance of instructions.  You will be held directly responsible for any damage either to yourself, to equipment or to the location itself which results from this non-compliance.

10. Ghostly Shadows use responsible and reputable mediums and paranormal investigators on every event. However, they can only offer you their perspective and we would ask guests to be mindful of this when interpreting information. You are responsible for making your own decisions about what you are experiencing; act according to your beliefs not the beliefs of others.

11.  Ghostly Shadows recognize that statements are the sole opinion of the medium, host, or investigator and are not a reflection of Ghostly Shadows.  There are no guarantees in relation to what may be an offered opinion and what may be truth.

12. Ghostly Shadows hold all our events at locations that have demonstrated paranormal activity which has been witnessed by ourselves and others.  However, we cannot offer any guarantee regarding the level of activity may occur during an event.  Activity experienced may be very intense resulting in injury to yourself or your clothing due to paranormal activity; or there could be very little paranormal activity.  Ghostly Shadows accept no responsibility for whatever may occur as a result of any paranormal activity, and also accepts no responsibility if minimal or no activity is experienced on an event.

13.  We will provide you with Ghost Hunting equipment to use on your event with us; we would ask that you respect these items and use them as instructed.  You will be liable for any damage caused to the equipment through misuse.  If you are unable to use the items appropriately you can choose not to use them.

14. There are occasions when events are cancelled due to circumstances beyond Ghostly Shadows control. If events are cancelled; you will be given a full refund for the cancelled event.  However, if the event is rescheduled limitations may be set on any refunds.  Ghostly Shadows will try to ensure that every guest is aware of a cancelled event as soon as possible. However, Ghostly Shadows will not refund any expenses incurred due to the cancellation of an event, which includes travel and/or hotel expenses.

15. In the event of severe adverse weather Ghostly Shadows reserves the right to cancel the event.  We will try our utmost to make clients aware of this as soon as possible, however if the severity of the weather prevents a member of the Ghosty Shadows team reaching the venue, Ghostly Shadows will cancel the event due to the location being inaccessible.

16. There are no sleeping facilities at our locations.  Therefore we suggest; due to the late finish of the investigation you ensure you are not too tired to drive and possibly book into a hotel or similar prior to the event. Remember:  Tiredness Can Kill.

17. These terms and conditions are non-negotiable and your booking of an event demonstrates their acceptance by you, the client. These conditions and any contract into which they are incorporated shall be subject to English Law and the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England.

Behaviour Policy

We want all of our guests to enjoy our events and to feel safe.  Any behaviour deemed inappropriate will be dealt with swiftly and the person or people concerned will automatically be removed from the event regardless of transport issues or weather conditions.

No behaviour will be tolerated that has a adverse effect on the event or the other guests.

Refund Policy

1.  All deposits are non refundable.

2.  For a cancellation 6 weeks or more prior to an event a full refund will be issued less the deposit payment (£20)

3.  For events paid in full - for a cancellation more than 4 weeks prior to an event a refund will be issued for 50% of the total cost of the event.

4.  For cancellations less than 4 weeks prior to an event no refund will be issued.

5.  Ghostly Shadows reserves the right to alter the price of an event (via special offers and the like) without prior notification.  If you purchase a ticket for an event which is then offered at a lower price at a later date, no refund will be offered for the difference in price.

If for any reason you are unable to attend an event, please let us know as early as possible - even if it is on the evening of the event so our team are not waiting for you to arrive.  Thank you.
